The lid solution with patents pending always opens automatically when you pour and the drinks make it into the glass accurately and without spillage. Also, an integral strainer in the lid holds back ice cubes and pieces of fruit such as slices of lemon. When not in use, the carafe stays closed keeping the contents fresh. The lid can be completely taken apart and is easy to clean, and can even be used in the dishwasher. And thanks to the large opening the carafe is very easy to fill.
