The new WMF Basic water carafe, by the designers Köhler & Wilms, has an ingenious feature: the lid with a plus, also called “Close Up”. The lid solution with patents pending always opens automatically when you pour and the drinks make it into the glass accurately and without spillage. Also, an integral strainer in the lid holds back ice cubes and pieces of fruit such as slices of lemon. When not in use, the carafe stays closed keeping the contents fresh.
